Descendants of George Gordon:
b. Georgia [place and year unknown]; d. [place and year unknown]. Small business owner -- movie theaters; funeral parlors. He had 11 children by two wives. I don't know either of their names. My grandfather was the last child of the second wife. He had an older brother born to the first wife, and eight sisters (but I don't know how many were born to each of my great-grandfather's wives). I think George Gordon remained in Georgia and raised his family there.
Robert Lee Gordon: b. Georgia [1898?; place unknown]; d. Emporia, Virginia [1968]. Episcopal priest. Graduated Morris Brown College, Atlanta, Georgia, 1922 [?]; Union Theological Seminary of Virginia [?] [year unknown]. Married Georgia Clayton [year unknown]. Seven children. My grandfather became a priest later in life, and moved frequently to open new churches throughout Georgia, Florida, West Virginia and Virginia. He and his family eventually settled in Petersburg, Virginia.
