Analysis:
Results for the three above kits are are consistent with Dr. JM Bulloch's House
of Gordon and generally-accepted Gordon history, which states that the Sir William Gordon line branched from the ancestors of the Jock & Tam Gordon lines over 700 years ago.
Sir William
Gordon, Laird of Strathbogie (born ca 1300) - was
the progenitor of the ancient ancient and illustrious southern Gordon Houses of Lochinvar
and Kenmure. Documentation supports that above kits 89515 and 93333 are descendants of the House of Kenmure. Given the same mutations at Loci 21 and 30, it may be inferred that kit 80269 is a very close cousin to 89515 and share a common Gordon ancestor probably just prior to emmigrating overseas. Mutations at Loci 21 and 30 for kits 89515 and 80269 also suggest a separate line descending from Sir William Gordon than that of kit 93333, and it is likely that their common ancestor with 93333 would be found in Scotland as well and prior to 1784.
It would be interesting to have one of these 3 testers upgrade to the 67-marker test for comparison with those of the Jock & Tam Gordons. It would give a sense of how quickly markers are mutating at the higher resolution test level..
