This kit is for my dad, Robert Eugene Gordon, son of Mark McDonald Gordon (born 1917 in Montgomery County VA) & Mae Beatrice Miller (born 1925 in Washington County VA).

Earliest ancestor confirmed by records are:
Samuel P. Gordon 1815-1867 married Jane “Jinsey” Bowe 1824-1905 (oral family history and several children’s death certificates read Ireland as country of birth for Samuel but cannot confirm and his death in Montgomery County, VA) Jinsey’s birth listed as Botetourt, VA. 

Charles Lewis Gordon 1841-1891 married Sarah Emily McDonald 1843-1904 (both of Montgomery County, VA)

Montgomery Brown Gordon 1868-1938 married 2nd wife Ruth Annie Lee 1878-1951

Mark McDonald Gordon 1917-1981 father of Robert Eugene Gordon-- the Y dna in this kit.
