Descendants of William Gordon b. abt 1785 d. before 1870 in Warren Co. VA. His son, Thomas Jefferson Gordon b. 1824 lived in Warren Co. VA until 1883 and moved to Fauquier CO. VA where he died in 1888 of typhoid fever. Jeffersons, son, Manley Edgar Gordon b. 1847d. 1875 Warren Co. VA. Served last 1 1/2 years of Civil War with Mosby's Rangers. His son, Manley Edgar Gordon, Jr. b. 1/24/1876 d. 1953. He was a blacksmith and lived on Fairground Rd outside Front Royal VA. His last years were spent as a clerk for the Afton Inn, Front Royal VA. Manley buried in Rockland Cemetery outside Front Royal, VA. Manley's Jr.'s son, William Lynwood Gordon b. WArren co. VA 12/4/1900 d. Charleston WV 3/31/1950. Most of his life was spent as manager of Daniel Boone Hotel in Charleston WV. He is b. at Evergreen Cemetery in Luray VA.
