Descendants of Alexander Stott Gordon, born in Peterhead, Scotland, which is in northeast Scotland in Aberdeenshire. He was a British citizen and never became a US citizen.
He was in WWI fighting with the Cameron Highlanders (of Canada) in France and was gassed. He met his wife while recovering in a Canadian hospital. She was from Georgia (USA). They married and moved to Florida and ultimately settled in Atlanta, Georgia.
