Descendants of Russel Manners Gordon
The Countess of Torre Bela, married in St. John's Wood Westminster on 15 September 1857, with royal approval, with Russell Manners,Gordon British subjects, that his marriage would assume the title of 3rd Viscount of, and later, by Decree of 6 September 1894, would be elevated to the greatness of the Kingdom as the 1st Count of Torre Bela. Russell Manners Gordon [2] was born in the Quinta do Monte 23 November 1829. Diogo was the son of David Webster and Gordon D. Arabela Teodósia Pollock.

1. James Murray Kenmure Gordson Correia Henriques de Noronha, 4th Viscount of Torre Bela.
Diogo Henriques [James Henry] Correia Murr[a]y Kenmure Gordon, 4th Viscount of Tower Bela was a diplomat and died unmarried and without offspring, for which the representation of this old house would pass to his nephew, Dermot Bolger, the son of his Sister D. Isabel Constance, but the title of viscount had been revalidated.[2] The Gordons were of Scottish origin. His father was David Gordon Webster, who was the first of this illustrious family who came to this island, and was member of the firm important exporter of wine Cossart, Gordon & and C, buying the Quinta do Monte built, in 1925, [which] belonged [to] the family Rocha Machado. His gr-gr-grandfather (trisavô) was the famous Lord Kenmure, who was stuck in the Tower of London on 24 February 1716 by order of George I, as party of James Stewart, pretender to the crown of England. His uncles were, James Gordon Murray, Navy Admiral William English Gordon (1841-1845), brother of the 4th Earl of Aberdeen and Thomas William Gordon, Lt. Colonel of the Queen's Guards (Scots Foot Guards) who was wounded and was captured at the battle of Talavera (Peninsular War) and died as a POW in Lyons, France.
ADMINISTRATORS NOTES:
The family are descerndants of the Lochinvar-Kenmure line; but they died out with the 4th Count's death. He was unmarried and had no children, so the title passed to his cousin. The owner is a Gordon from the female side, through his grandmother, who was a Gordon.
